Gregorian Emerson Solicitors is the product of the professional and personal experience of two leading experts in their respective fields: Richard Gregorian, Solicitor (LLB.Hons) and Gavin Emerson (Psychological Strategist).

Gregorian Emerson Solicitors specialise in two fields: matrimonial/family law and commercial law.  The two areas are practised interdependently and separately.

At the height of his commercial law career, Richard had personal experience of successfully defending a Leave to Remove case (involving the potential international relocation of children).  Against all the projections, he successfully defended that case. Subsequently, he has used the legal and non-legal skills and strategies which were refined during that case to assist numerous other parents in both their children and financial disputes.   These are described further on the “Our Approach” page of this website.

Immediately prior to specialising into family law, Richard was an equity partner in leading global law firms, specialising in corporate insolvency/restructuring and insurance law. He acted on behalf of multi-national companies and creditors who often had billions of dollars at stake.

Richard’s unique experience and skill set as a commercial and, subsequently, family lawyer and his personal involvement in the family justice system alongside the rest of his team, gives him a unique advantage in acting for clients, and in those cases involving children, the ability to work with clients in an empathetic child centric way.
