Divorce re-opens over shoe collection

A wealthy couple from New York, who divorced in 2009, have had their divorce settlement reopened after Daniel Shak raised a fresh suit, claiming that his ex-wife's shoe collection should have been included in the assets that were divided as part of the divorce settlement, reports the Telegraph.

Mr Shak claims that his ex-wife hid the fact that she had a collection of 1,200 shoes, worth an estimated $1 million from him, and that he only became aware of their existence after their divorce.

Mrs Shak has vowed to “fight him all the way”, dismissing his claim she had hidden the shoes from him as “ludicrous.”
